Who We Are

We're a group of people who believe in the power of education to empower the community, and therefore we've formed a non-profit organazation. We work in the community of Coya, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, outside of Cusco, Peru. In our community center we offer afterschool programs for children of all ages, workshops of vocational skills for the adults, and a variety of programs for adolescents. We especially believe that adolescents benefit from leadership opportunities, which we provide through an advisory group for the center and a research and public presentation program. Most importantly, we believe that everyone has the ability to both learn and teach, so we're always open to the exchange of ideas among ourselves and with everyone else.

All of our participants, volunteers, friends, and benefactors are part of AbrePuertas, and we invite you to become part of our movement as well!
